I scan it that way to avoid newton rings, but forgot to flip in post.  adamphillipson replied to your photo: Couples Portrait.  Yashica Mat-124G.  It’s back to front. How come?

When you go out with your camera, what are you looking for? I don’t even know. When I first started I wanted to replicate “The Americans” by Robert Frank. I think a lot of us want to do that, and too many of us take a bunch of boring street photos thinking that’s what is going to get us there. I thought to do the kind of photography I wanted to do I was going to have to go...

For Photographers: Part I. A little bit about what...
Film Or Digital?  I shoot a lot of film and use my digital cameras only reluctantly. This isn’t because I don’t like digital. It’s just that with digital, you are stuck with the look of your sensor. It’s fine in small doses, but I prefer using different films for different situations. I also love real black and white.  What are you favorite films? For 120 I like using...

Supposedly you are supposed to get 3-5, but I was being vary cautious and think it was more like 2. I think I’ll get better at knowing what looks cool and get more bang for my buck in the future. Movement is key obviously. :) laviebelem replied to your post: I think about 20 frames, but I actually slowed it… Oh that’s awesome! How many fps would you say that was? It looks fantastic,...

I think about 20 frames, but I actually slowed it down a bit, and I think it looks a little better which gets me about 14 seconds. I’m still perfecting the process. lol laviebelem replied to your video: Here’s my first go with the @Lomography Lomokino… Looks great! How much film did you use for those 10 seconds?

I believe it’s 144 frames and the frame rate is 3-5 frames a second depending on how fast your are winding it. I figure my first few tries will be a train wreck but we’ll see! moochiethinks replied to your photo: The @lomography Lomokino in the flesh. Quite nice. Nice! I can’t wait to see what your do with it! And how you like the camera, too. I think the price is pretty good for...

I love this video of blurb photographer Daniel Milnor describing his process and how he approaches shooting projects and self publishing. He also does a good job of explaining why so many of us still love film. His M6’s are pretty nice as well.  thenewmexicoproject: Blurb sent Rikshaw Films to follow me during one of my shoots on “The New Mexico Project.” What started out as a look at...
