This is a great image of James Dean taken by Dennis Stock in Fairmount, Indiana, Dean’s hometown. Caitlin and I made a pilgrimage to Fairmount a few years ago now, and visited some James Dean related spots as well as visiting his grave (Bob Dylan visited it a few years earlier). It was very cool, and one of mine and Caitlin’s favorite adventures.
Expectations of glistened brows,
Have covered myself and you,
Come down and shed that hidden tear.
Your life has spawned from masculine eyes,
You’ve ripped the hair from him,
You’re a money changer’s dream.
Lie to her, and bite your tongue.
You’ve really done it now.
I hear your words, close my ears.
